The Brownfields Redevelopment Act (Sections 376.77 – 376.85, Florida Statutes) provides significant incentives, as well as liability protection, to those who voluntarily reduce the risk to public health and the environment by redeveloping impacted mixed-use, commercial, retail and industrial sites that are abandoned or underused. Progressive is committed to maximizing the benefit to our clients who are in a position to take advantage of Florida’s Brownfield Redevelopment Program. Progressive is able to guide its clients through the program, identify costs eligible for tax credits and bonuses, and provide turn-key site remediation services under the Brownfields Redevelopment Act (Section 376.77–376.85, F.S.) and the Commercial Development and Capital Improvements statute (Chapter 288, F.S.).

Our services are enhanced by G. Nell Tyner, Ph.D., Senior Scientist. Nell has over 28 years of experience working in the environmental field as a Professional Geologist both for private industry and governmental entities. Before joining Progressive in early 2013, Dr. Tyner served as Program Manager of the Waste Cleanup (WCU) Section of the FDEP’s Southwest District Office overseeing responsible party and Brownfield cleanup sites. The District’s Brownfield Program Coordinator worked under her guidance and leadership. Nell’s expertise in agency processes and policies provides our clients with the highest level of service for Brownfield projects.

Progressive offers a remediation-focused approach to clients interested in Brownfields with the knowledge that time is of the essence in redevelopment projects and financial transactions.
